How do I activate my SIM?
Step 1: Insert your Eastel SIM into your mobile phone.
Step 2: Download the Eastel App from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
Step 3: Open the app and tap Activate SIM.
Step 4: Scan your IC or passport and complete facial verification (eKYC).
Step 5: Choose your plan and complete payment.
Step 6: Restart your phone and start enjoying Eastel 5G.
Can I keep my existing number?
Yes. Select Port In during activation, and your existing number will be transferred to Eastel within two (2) working days.

What is the minimum age required for registration?
- Below 12 years old: Not allowed

How many Eastel SIM cards can I register under my ID?
- Malaysians / Permanent Residents: Up to five (5) active Eastel SIM cards under one IC.
- Foreign nationals (Passport holders): Up to two (2) prepaid SIM cards in total across all telco providers.
- Companies: No limit, subject to company verification.
Where can I purchase the Eastel Starter Kit (ESK)?
The Eastel Starter Kit is available exclusively at Eastel Mall.
Reload and eComm
What is the reload validity for Eastel?
- Reloads from RM1 to RM99: Validity follows the reload amount in days. Example: Reload RM20 = 20 days validity.
- Reloads of RM100 and above: You will receive 120 days of validity, regardless of the reload amount.
What is Account validity and Plan validity?
Account Validity: This refers to how long your mobile number remains active. Each reload extends your account validity.
Plan Validity: This refers to the duration of your subscribed mobile plan. Once the plan expires, your data, SMS and voice quota will stop. Any usage thereafter will be charged at Pay-Per-Use rates and deducted from your credit balance.
Are reloads refundable?
No. All reloads are non-refundable.
What should I do if a reload is not reflected?
Please provide proof of payment, such as a transaction ID or bank slip, for verification. Processing may take up to 14 working days, depending on the payment provider.
What is the maximum allowable credit balance per mobile number?
The maximum credit balance for each Eastel prepaid number is RM1,000. Once the balance reaches RM1,000, additional reloads will not be accepted until the balance is reduced.
Can I top up if my account is barred while my balance is already RM1,000?
Yes. Reloads are allowed only when your account status is barred.
How do auto-renewal subscriptions work?
Plans are renewed automatically when sufficient account balance is available.
What is the Monthly Reload Incentive?
It is a monthly incentive based on verified reload volume within a subscriber's referral network, subject to rank qualification.
What is the minimum personal reload requirement?
The minimum personal reload requirement ranges from RM35 to RM120, depending on the subscriber's rank.
What is the eCOMM?
The eCOMM is a closed-loop wallet used for transactions within the Eastel ecosystem. Funds in the eCOMM Wallet are non-withdrawable.
What is the eCOMM multiplier?
Transfers from the Eastel Wallet to the eCOMM are credited at a 1:1.5 ratio (e.g. RM100 = RM150 eCOMM value).
Can eCOMM Wallet funds be withdrawn or converted back?
No. Funds in the eCOMM cannot be withdrawn or converted back to the Eastel Wallet or cash.

What does an Eastel Data Plan offer?
Eastel Data Plans include mobile data, voice minutes and SMS, depending on the selected package.
How do I subscribe to an Eastel Data Plan?
You can subscribe by:
- Going to the Eastel App → Plans / Add-Ons and selecting your preferred plan
- Dialling USSD *220#
Will I receive a notification before my plan expires?
Yes, Eastel will send an in-app notification prior to plan expiry.
Can I subscribe to two data plans at the same time?
Yes. Multiple plans or add-ons are allowed if they are compatible.
Can my data, SMS, or calls be carried forward?
Only data from monthly plan can be carried forward, and this is applicable only if there is sufficient balance at the time of renewal to renew the plan and such carry forward is capped at one time only.
What happens when I reach the Fair Usage Policy (FUP) limit?
Your data speed may be reduced once the FUP limit is reached.
If I subscribe to the same plan again, will it override my current plan?
If the plan is compatible, it will stack. If not, the new plan rules will apply immediately.

What is the Registration Bonus?

When are incentives paid?
Incentives are credited to the subscriber's Eastel Wallet on the 18th of the following month.
What is the minimum payout threshold and processing fee?
The minimum payout threshold is RM30 per calendar month, with a RM2 processing fee for each disbursement.
What happens if the subscriber does not meet the required monthly reload?
The incentive for that month will be forfeited.
How are incentives for foreign subscribers treated?
Incentives for foreign subscribers are credited based on the reload amount.
What is the Eastel Wallet used for?
The Eastel Wallet stores incentives and rewards, which may be used for reloads, plan purchases, or withdrawal to a bank account.
When can Eastel suspend a subscriber's account?
Accounts may be suspended due to fraud, regulatory requirements, non-payment, system abuse, or violation of terms.
Can an account be inherited by next-of-kin?
Yes. Supporting documents, including a death certificate, proof of relationship, and valid identification of the claimant, are required.
Can I use the U Mobile logo on Eastel merchandise?
No. The U Mobile logo may not be used on any Eastel merchandise, marketing materials, packaging, uniforms, digital content, social media, or promotional items.
Can SIM cards be purchased in bulk?
Yes. SIM cards can be purchased in bulk via the Eastel Starter Kit or at the Eastel Operation Office. Each SIM must be registered and activated individually in compliance with MCMC verification requirements.
Can I cancel a purchase after payment?
No. Orders are final once payment is completed and cannot be cancelled or refunded unless the transaction error is caused by Eastel.

MNP allows subscribers to switch to Eastel while retaining their existing mobile number.
What must be settled before porting into Eastel?
All outstanding payments with the previous operator must be cleared prior to porting.
Can a completed port-in be reversed?
No. Port-in reversals are not permitted once completed.
What happens if a number expires?
- The number is terminated.
- Reinstatement is allowed within 7 days for MNP numbers and 21 days for non-MNP numbers, subject to a minimum RM100 reload.
